Located in the picturesque site of the Valley of factories, the Creux de l’enfer was an abandoned factory, an old cutlery which became a centre for contemporary fine art in 1988. It is an active place of artistic productions with a daring exhibition program, including sculpture, installation, painting and photography. With over fifteen publications since 2000, the art centre still edits, with the assistance of partners, a collection of pocket books entitled “Mes pas à faire au Creux de l’enfer”. The center takes an active part in the cultural life of its city, its department and its region. It proposes artists of international and national scale, while putting, once per year, its notoriety to the service of young artists graduated from local art schools in an annual exhibition entitled “The children of the Sabbath” FB 2007
